Solution Selection — Software Selection

CRM selection and evaluation

A CRM shouldn't force your sales team to change how they sell. It should help them sell better. We help organizations define, evaluate, and select the CRM that best fits their sales process.

01 — Pain

When the customer relationship is fragmented

Scattered information

Customer data lives in emails, spreadsheets, and each salesperson's memory.

Leads that fall through

Sales opportunities lost because no one followed up in time.

Manual follow-up

Every salesperson manages their pipeline their own way, with no standard process.

Poor pipeline visibility

Sales leadership doesn't know in real time how the month is closing.

Different tools per team

Sales, marketing, and service work in systems that don't talk to each other.

Information tied to people

When a salesperson leaves, the history of their customer relationships leaves with them.

Low sales traceability doesn't just cost deals — it makes it impossible to measure what's actually working.

02 — The problem

The challenge isn't finding a CRM. It's finding one your organization will actually adopt.

A CRM can have 200 features — but if the sales team doesn't use it, the investment fails.

Fit with the real sales process matters more than the feature list.

04 — Evaluation

We evaluate the CRM from six perspectives

Functional

Does it cover lead management, opportunities, pipeline, and customer service?

Technical

Does it integrate with marketing, telephony, and existing sales systems?

Economic

What's the cost per user and the total cost as the sales team scales?

Strategic

Does it support omnichannel, analytics, and AI to keep up with sales growth?

Vendor

How solid is the vendor's support and partner ecosystem?

Adoption

Does it fit the way your team actually sells, or does it impose a new one?

The result isn't "this CRM is the best." It's "this CRM best answers our requirements and objectives, and here's why."

"We don't recommend technology off a catalog. Our job isn't to sell a particular platform. We evaluate the available alternatives and build a recommendation based on each organization's needs, priorities, and context. 100% technology-agnostic."

On the other side of the gap

This is what it looks like when the decision does reach execution.

"We decided to work with Cyrrus because it offered us a path to world-class best practices." Today they have a platform that lets them see information live and better understand what's happening with their customers.

Frequently asked questions

As a reference, the CIRA method's Identify phase typically takes 6 to 12 weeks, from the strategic kickoff through contracting support.

We start from the real sales process, not the feature catalog — the Adoption criterion is evaluated from day one, together with your sales team, not at the end of the process.

It is defined by scope and sales team size, not by a list price. The relevant ratio is the same as in any selection: advisory costs a fraction of the annual subscription plus implementation, and exists so that investment does not land on the wrong tool.

Fit to the sales process the company actually runs, ease of use for the rep who has to feed it every day, integration with the ERP and with marketing tools, multi-year total cost per user, reporting quality for sales leadership, and vendor sustainability.

A vendor starts from their product; we start from your sales process. Since we take no commission from any manufacturer, the evaluation may well conclude that the cheapest platform on the market is right for you, or that the one you already own just needs reconfiguring.
